Thomas Rowell is a photographer and multidisciplinary storyteller, National Geographic Explorer, member of the Explorer’s Club in New York City, Emerging League Member of the International League of Conservation Photographers and a connoisseur of fine chips and salsa. He studied theatre directing at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and soon after had residencies in dance and mask at the Waaw Centre in Sénégal and directing at the Kennedy Center for the performing arts. His first documentary project followed dedicated conservationists working to conserve the critically endangered Álala. He has filmed and photographed conservation efforts with the northern white rhino in Kenya and the US and worked with asian elephants, sloth bears and leopards in India alongside Wildlife SOS India. Most recently he was deploying custom built remote wildlife cameras in Misiones Agentina. Thomas feels most like himself near a stream in the forest somewhere in the mountains.

Hello, my name is Paul Garber and I am an award-winning journalist with 20 years of experience and a lover of films going back even longer than that. I was able join my two passions starting in 2008, when I was named the Winston-Salem Journal's first full-time multimedia reporter. Since then I have created short films for the Web based on a variety of topics, including breaking news videos as well as short explanatory films. I usually worked on next-day deadlines and was both the videographer and editor for stories that often accompanied print coverage, so I know what it is like to do quality work on deadline. I filmed appearances by Barack Obama three times, and have been on the riser for many other political appearances including such figures as Joe Biden, John McCain and Sarah Palin. Im an award-winning filmmaker, author and journalist. Ive used my skills as a storyteller in a variety of media: producing hours of live radio, as well as short sound-rich pieces, creating documentaries and short video features, making photo essays and slide shows, putting together multimedia pieces and writing articles. Im also the published author of two books of short stories. At the moment Im focused in videography. Two years ago I earned a masters degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism with emphasis in documentary production. I hunt for stories that need to be told so they can that create awareness about political issues and human matters; stories that surprise us and show us our differences and similarities, our greatness, fragility and beauty; stories able to touch an audience and motivate them into action.

Roxanne R Campbell is a visual artist, native of Kingston, Jamaica, raised in Brooklyn, New York. Campbell as a MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, concentration cinematography, from the University of Virginia. Her documentary work is often observational and explores the representation of African and Afro-Caribbean culture and identity, by counter-framing accepted narratives of the African Diaspora in the Americas. Her project Color Bar, is an interview-driven documentary project that examines concepts of race and masculinity in relation to Black identity - in particular, labels and stereotypes associated with skin tone.

She then made her way to Durham, NC to study filmmaking at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke.
