My goal is to collaborate with you to best create stories your audience relate to personally and content to inform and expand conversation. I have worked in broadcast, narrative features and shorts, digital docu-series, corporate videos, and interactive media as an editor, cameraperson, and DIT. However, my professional background covers a lot of on-set and post-production skills, so I often find myself doing more than just one role in collaborations. Tom Bentey is a Jersey boy made good. Tom grew up in Edison, New Jersey and spent his summers at the Jersey Shore. He studied English at Rutgers, and acted in several student films and plays. Tom’s new found passion for acting changed his path in life, as he went on to act in many Off-Broadway plays and independent films. After three years of being in front of the camera, Tom developed an interest in directing and began to write his own screenplays.Tom enrolled in the Masters of Arts program in Media Studies at The New School in New York City, to hone his newfound interest in the art and craft of filmmaking. It is at the New School, where Tom wrote, directed and starred in his first feature length film “At The Jersey Shore“. His directorial debut went on to screen at national film festivals and received international Cable VOD, iTunes, Amazon.com distribution in 2012.

Mia Sorensen is a digital storyteller. She started her career working for the Emmy Award winning, Daily Show with Jon Stewart and BAFTA award winning series Louis Theroux’s Weird Weekends. After 10 years of working producing and directing commercial work for brands such as Disney, Sony, Kodak, Bacardi and Mercedes she returned to documentary work. She joined the Digital team for Barack Obama’s successful, Webby award winning re-election campaign in 2012. She created some of the highest viewed short form documentaries for the campaign. Most recently, She was part of the Emmy award winning production team of Years of Living Dangerously, a documentary series on climate change for Showtime, docu-series editor on Death Row Stories (Jigsaw/CNN), Weediquette (Vice), and Aspireist (MSNBC) and creating short form documentary on gun violence for Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan.

Dave Schmidt has directed content for Mercedes Benz, Fiat, Alpha Romeo, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, and Nike. His skills as a “preditor” (Dave produces, shoots, and edits, in addition to directing, when the project requires) have been recognized internationally. In 2012 Dave’s film, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, about how an Afghani family looking for freedom became “boat people,” won Best Documentary at the European Independent Film Festival. A short film he made about 80,000 displaced Somali refugees in Raaso, Ethiopia raised enough money to build a hospital outpost and employ 4 nurses in the area. Most recently, Dave produced and directed 20 pieces of content in 20 days for NBC as part of the Global Citizen Festival in New York City. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Dave is a founder of NB Content. He lives in Brooklyn now, where he is raising his baby daughter.

I am a shooter, producer, director, editor and shooter. I've worked in capacities from a one-man crew in war zones to the director of branded series with large crews. Kayla Tong (b. 1993) is a cinematographer and director. She was born in colonial Hong Kong, molded by Los Angeles, and briefly called Missouri and Lisbon home in between. After graduating from USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2015, her narrative and documentary work have screened in a number of venues such as The New Yorker Documentary Series, Busan International Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, and LA Shorts Fest. Kayla is a Busan’s Asian Film Academy's cinematography fellow, a Visual Communications’s Armed with a Camera Fellowship directing fellow. Kayla's rootless upbringing and encounters with people from around the world inform the themes of much of her work, telling stories of diaspora and displacement. Cinema is her way of sharing her lifelong study on the human condition by confronting it everyday with a deep curiosity.

Eric Paul Maryea - Began his career as a writer and director of corporate training films for a multinational utility company, National Grid. For 12 years he has been instrumental in developing a library of films to train the next generation of electric and gas workers. In addition to corporate film production, Eric published his first novel as a high school student, Temperance, and worked his way into creating a plethora of original stories in the form of manuscripts, screenplays, graphic novels and documentaries. His latest work includes the documentary Red Words: The Natives Of New York. He served as an executive producer and editor on the film #Rucker50 which was acquired by Netflix. I'm a freelance writer/director/editor/producer based in Brooklyn, NY. I started my career as a promo writer/producer for Cartoon Network where my claim to fame was directing the launch campaign for Adult Swim. I even gave Adult Swim it's name. After that, I did a stint at AMC (pre-Mad Men) where I was Director of Short Format Programming. Since then, I've been on my own doing all sorts of jobs from a series of short doc pieces for Walmart (I know!) about their early sustainability initiative to short comedy sketches using vintage toys as actors to a web series called Meow Meow Music for Amy Poehler's Smart Girls channel to a series of short doc pieces about professional video gamers. Shawn Baldwin is a documentary filmmaker, photographer and multimedia journalist based in Berkeley, California. His work is published in The New York Times, Stern, Newsweek, Time Magazine, Vanity Fair, Bloomberg Businessweek and The New York Times Magazine. Shawn lived in the Middle East for more than a decade covering war in Iraq, revolutions in Egypt and Libya, and the growing influence of hardline Islam across the Arab world. He has worked throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe on stories. He is the recipient of the 2016 Dorothea Lange Fellowship and has won several awards including Magazine Portrait & Personality in the Best of Photojournalism competition for his work in Afghanistan. Shawn studied documentary filmmaking at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. His first documentary film "After the Revolution" will premiere this year.

JAY GUNNING grew up in rural Australia. The driving purpose for all of his work has been to demonstrate the similarities of all cultures and ethnicities with the intention of breaking down social preconceptions. After working internally for international NGO's fighting to alleviate poverty he has a deep understanding of politics and implications relating to story telling. As a result, Jay has worked with numerous NGO's as a creative in house and in the field to help achieve their visual needs. Chris Esper is an award-winning director based out of Attleboro, MA. Originally from New Jersey, Chris developed a passion and love for film at a very young age. When he was in his teens, he received his first camera and started experimenting with it. After high school, he attended New England Institute of Technology in East Greenwich, RI where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Digital Recording Arts. He has since directed several short films which have gone on to screen at a number of film festivals and win several awards. My name is Kenneth Klemens, I am a multimedia producer and photojournalist focusing on short documentary films in the feature and news genres.
