My name is Laura Lechner, and I'm a film director. I am currently working as a digital video producer at Columbia University in New York, while also freelancing as a videographer, art director, script supervisor, and editor. I am currently in pre-production for my first feature film, Kim, which will start shooting in winter 2016. In my work, I strive to find the poetry in everyday existence. Andrew Caringi is a freelance photographer and filmmaker. In the summer of 2015 he interned as a photographer and video reporter for Brooklyn Deep, a digital journalism platform that chronicles neighborhood change in Central Brooklyn. In December of 2015 he received his M.A. in Journalism from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, where he specialized in urban reporting and visual storytelling. His first film, Super Bronx Boys, debuted this December for an audience in Midtown, Manhattan. The short documentary film follows the lives of three indie game developers from the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. He currently resides in New York City.

Clara Ibarra earned her degrees in Political Science and Economics in her hometown, Bogotá, Colombia where she worked as a research assistant in projects that use images as sources of investigation for the writing of social history. She came to NYC in 2006 to pursue a MA in Media Studies, since then she has been working in the production of multimedia endeavors that involve education and the telling of stories. Currently she is coordinating the Spanish programing at Democracy Now!, working with the media outlets that broadcast or publish Democracy Now! en Español around the world. Elena Testi is a freelance producer in New York City for documentary, video journalism and multimedia with a special focus on human rights and social justice issues. Originally from Italy, she started her career in the production of fashion imagery and advertising. In Paris, she worked for the photojournalism agency Magnum Photos. Fabián Caballero is a freelance videographer and documentary film editor based in New York City. In recent years he has worked with Capital K Pictures on two feature documentary films. The first, Gaucho del Norte, about Latin American sheepherders recruited to work in the American West, premiered on PBS’ America Reframed in 2015. The second film, The Interpreter, currently in post production, is a film about the struggle of Iraqi and Afghan interpreters who worked with U.S. forces during both wars and was funded by the MacArthur Foundation and ITVS. My name is Damon Colquhoun and I'm applying through POV. I'm a storyteller: filmmaker, writer, photographer, new media creative. I'm a working class kid who has a passion for exploring, then sharing the often overlooked stories of the black working-class (my own stories included). I'm also passionate about serving that same group. One thread of my work has been in the field of non-fiction and general videography. The other encompasses more fictional film work and creative writing.
