Hello, my name is Tasha May and I am an Australian and have been living in Jakarta, Indonesia, since 2009. My husband, Mahatma Putra (Director), and I have a small production house, Anatman Pictures, which specializes in documentary film making throughout Indonesia as well as branded commercial work. I started my career in journalism professionally in 2018. Early in my career, I worked for the Antara news agency as a photojournalist. That same year, I decided to become a freelance visual journalist until now. Some of my work has been published such as in The Australian, Narasi, Antara Photo News Agency, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Insider, etc. In addition to my non-editorial work such as with WHO (World Health Organization) In 2021 I received an award from Anugerah Pewarta Foto Indonesia for the best photo in the company category. The focus of my coverage has a lot to do with social, environmental, and cultural issues. In addition, there are still many stories in Indonesia that deserve the attention of the world. I have a good work ethic, and experience, as well as open communication with clients, to get the desired results.
