Marcelo Mosenson is the founder and executive director of the film production company Nomade Films. Born in Buenos Aires in 1969 he traveled to Paris at the age of 20 where he met his mentor, cinematographer Ricardo Aronovich. He worked as his assistant on a number of films in France and Argentina and wrote the book Exposing a Story: the cinematographic photography). He has also worked for filmmaker, Costa Gavras, in the film La petite apocalypse (The Little Apocalypse). Upon his return to Argentina he made two award-winning documentaries Under the Same Roof, 1996. The more you try to be different, the more you look like yourself, 1997 Fulbright scholar, he received a Masters in Media at The New School University (NYC). In NY he taught script writing at Ramapo College while working for New York Times Television, collaborating on the production of various documentaries. Since then he made various shorts and feature films. He is currently working on his new documentary, Fatherectomy.

I'm a British freelance journalist who covers the Southern Cone from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I string here for the New York Times, CS Monitor and the Daily Telegraph (UK), mainly reporting on breaking news. This year I have covered presidential elections in Paraguay, Hugo Chávez's death in Venezuela, and the election of Pope Francis in Argentina for the NY Times. I also hunt for news features and human interest stories: I interviewed a Paraguayan soccer player who survived a point-blank shooting to the head and returned to the field, despite being partially paralyzed. That story was for a British sports magazine. In April, I reported on transgenic soy monoculture in Paraguay and the disastrous effect it has on rural communities, who are poisoned by the chemicals used on plantations. Many are displaced to the cities, where they live in slums. I also produce video (I shoot with a Canon 600d and edit in Adobe Premiere). I produced a short video on a landfill orchestra in Paraguay for the Guardian newspaper (UK) and another for GlobalPost on a marijuana legalization bill in Uruguay.

Martin Bendersky was born in Buenos Aires in 1984. Since his teen years he showed interest in Visual Arts, taking Film History and Visual Arts History classes. In 2002 he starts attending Film University (FUC). In 2004, while he studies, he starts working in the film industry in Argentina. He participates in several movies as assistant camera, and get familiarized with digital format. During his academic studies, he also participates in short films, working as electric, gaffer, focus puller and DOP. He finishes his studies in 2006 with a degree in Film Lighting and Camera. Tengo experiencia realizando cortometrajes, y tutoriales para EHOW Español, Brasil y UK. Así como también, participo desde hace 4 años de manera freelance, en publicidad y TV, en el área de dirección y producción. Mi experiencia esta relacionada al genero ficción, pero el documental es una rama que me interesa explorar. Respecto a las temáticas, me encantaría poder trabajar con personajes que se destaquen del resto, investigar un acontecimiento político y social, poder sumergirme en diferentes culturas, así como también todo lo relacionado al mundo artístico. Mi nombre es Claudia. Hace cuatro años me fui de Santiago de Chile, para venir a estudiar cine a Buenos Aires. Actualmente curso la carrera de Dirección Cinematográfica en la Universidad del Cine. Mi facultad tiene la particularidad de ser muy internacional, por lo que diariamente comparto con alumnos de distintas partes de Latinoamerica y el mundo. Hemos conformado un grupo de trabajo con amigos de distintas nacionalidades, con los que hemos formado un equipo audiovisual bautizado como "triza." , que tiene por finalidad generar contenidos autorales, como trabajar con contenidos de otras personas. Actualmente trabajamos en la creación de una serie documental de cocina, en la que cada capitulo aborda la historia humana detras de un plato de comida, y por otra parte realizamos videos de difusión para agrupaciones artísticas emergentes. Las historias que me interesan contar son las historias inivisibilizadas por el poder. No solo contar la censura , si no el control sobre nuestras formas de ver y decir. Pienso que lo político parte por decidir donde poner una cámara más que de hablar sobre grandes temas.Creo que es en lo más pequeño donde está lo más importante a descubrir.

Diez millones de personas que son la fuerza productiva de un país con ansias de desarrollo, de equilibrio y que fundan en su interior hogares las familias. Empero, gran porcentaje de los bolivianos se ven forzados a migrar en busca de mejores oportunidades, nuevos retos. Argentina, país limítrofe; Alberga a una cuantiosa colectividad boliviana, cerca de 2 millones legalmente registrados, y muchisimos más ilegalmente. Esta cifra, equivale al 20% de las personas que viven en Bolivia, personas que dejan sus hogares, atravesando diferentes circunstancias en pos de una nueva vida. ¿Cómo viven?¿dónde viven?¿tienen asociaciones?¿cómo celebran sus festividades?¿en qué trabajan?¿volverán a Bolivia?¿Extrañan su país?¿Porqué se fueron?¿Cómo les trata el Argentino? Son preguntas que se generan al conocer de la condición de los paisanos acá. No pretendo ser el milagro del cambio, no se que es lo que es necesario cambiar, no soy pretensioso. Lo que deseo con el proyecto es escuchar y hacer escuchar a otros esta realidad, de anécdotas y sentimientos muy variados.

Soy periodista chileno con trabajos e investigación en prensa escrita, televisión y documentales. Me he especializado en temas sobre las desigualdades sociales, injusticias, violaciones de los ddhh; realizar entrevistas y perfiles de personajes extraordinarios y encontrar personas ocultas. Conozco las realidades sociales e históricas tanto de Argentina como Chile. Para el trabajo de un periodista, esto significa que no sólo se comparten idiomas y una cordillera. Los últimos 50 años nos han dejado un tremendo campo de trabajo sobre lo que ocurrió para que hoy, ambos países estén donde estén y lo más apasionante...es que aún queda mucho por contar. Compartimos dolores, riquezas, alegrías, y muchos sueños. Me muevo entre ambos países, porque trabajo como corresponsal, colaborador independiente para Chilevisión (TBS) y ADN Radio Chile (Prisa) y como investigador para documentales ("El Mocito", M.Said y J. De Certau). A veces trabajo sólo, a veces en equipo. Más que el dinero, lo importante es una buena plataforma, como Story Hunter, donde mostrar mi trabajo al mundo.

Hi, my name is Melanie Erbar. I'm 24 years old, recently graduated as a journalist from the UCA in Buenos Aires and am currently searching for interesting stories to tell the world. I work with another storyhunter - Micaela Zeoli - and would like to be able to contribute in the pitching process of ideas. I speak 4 languages, have travelled all my life and therefore developed a strong interest in cultural and social issues. On the other hand, I've always been fascinated by young people and their engagement in society, the way they shape it and mold it, and how conventions can change when the generations change. There are many stories related to this topic, specially in latin america where the youth is expanding their horizons everyday, and becoming more and more aware of the world outside of their continent. These are only some of the reasons I would like to become a storyhunter, but there are many more beneath the surface.

I'm a video editor and documentarist. I started my career at government institutions, creating or expanding Communication and Video departments, focusing on documenting stories about small business ventures in the countryside, trying to depict lifestories as well as production details. Recently I've co-founded a production company with 4 other colleagues (journalists, photographers, scriptwriters) and we are working in a cooperative line of work, trying to produce documentaries also focused in cooperative work. We are interested into becoming StoryHunters. Many of us have stories that have to do mainly with independent artists movements, from resistance to creation, street art as a form of social and political struggle. We look forward to start producing, turning these human and often neglected stories into little documentaries, and we found out StoryHunter could be more than a resourceful tool, because it has its fundamental basis on democratization of knowledge, resources and human interaction.

I am a journalist and documentary filmmaker based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. My interest lies in telling off beat stories, with extraordinary characters in ordinary circumstances. From the intensely personal to the acutely social, I am always searching for narrative possibilities in unlikely places. Arts and letters, Latin American culture in particular, is a huge concern. Identity and heritage are important to me. In fact, I cant think of a more exciting subject than what it means to be Latino in the United States in the 21st Century United States, or the changing self-awareness and contradictions of Latin America. In the past, I have had the opportunity of travelling and shooting in Mexico, New York City, South Florida, South Texas and Los Angeles while covering sucsuch hot-button issues as illegal immigration and the public health challenges posed by outbreaks like the swine flu. I divide my time between writing and producing videos, and am always on the lookout to find a creative community that is open to collaboration.

Since 1994 he has been working in both documentaries and fiction productions for the TV and film industry, where he reached the position of Creative Director in the renowned content agency El Perro en la Luna.
