Daniel S. Bezares is a Swedish / Latinx cinematographer / Award winning documentary filmmaker based in Copenhagen, Denmark and South Sweden, Malmoe, Scania. As a young boy Daniel inherited his grandfather’s old Olympus 35 mm film still photo camera and he discovered his passion for creating images and filmmaking. He read the little booklet of instructions where he learned the basics of photography. From that time, the path of visual storytelling was set. After working with graphic design and Art Direction for some years Daniel decided to go into filming and reached back to his real roots in the visual world. I'm a journalist on the paper, a documentary film maker by heart and freelance video journalist doing corporate films for major danish companies and NGO's by necessity. I started doing documentary films on my own 7 years ago and have been working freelance as director and video journalist since then. I set out to make a difference covering social and ethical issues. I have made documentary projects about outcasts, disabled children, electric cars, troubled and lonely youth and social entrepreneurs. For the time beeing I work mostly on a freelance basis for production companies and danish tv. But I also have my own production company with a collegue where we strive to produce both documentary and high end corporate films. The stories I would like to make for Storyhunter is the kind of documentaries/portraits that I often get inspired to do on my own around my city/region, like the one about a social entrepreneus fight to establish mobile fixing rooms for the junkies in Copenhagen. I have always wanted to give a voice to minorities in our society, that don't have the means to present their own case or the people who fight for them.

I'm currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark after 8 years of shooting in Los Angeles and New York City. In 2020 As a Director, I released my first international feature doc funded by DFI (The Danish National Film Institute) - "7 YEARS OF LUKAS GRAHAM". It features pop icon Lukas Graham, and is filmed during their ups and downs over a 7 Years period. The doc was nominated DOCUMENTARY OF THE YEAR at the Danish Academy Awards 2020 (Robert Prisen) and was the best selling Danish cinema documentary in 9 years. My international claim to fame was the Sundance awarded “THE RED CHAPEL”documentary I shot in NorthKorea and edited for Director Mads Brugger. The feature also earned me a DOP nomination atThe Golden Frog, Camerimage film festival 2010. Speaking of film festivals I’m credited “Co-producer”, “additional editor” and “additional DP”on the Sundance 2015 awarded “THE WOLFPACK” documentary which I worked closely on with Director Crystal Moselle. Another incredible story from NYC. I have +20 years of professional experience and have filmed and edited more than 200 hours of broadcasted tv-documentary and documentary films (NO REALITY-TV). This experience has also brought a lot of commercial documentary work. In the early days I directed more than 30 music videos for artists like Nephew, Suspekt, L.O.C, Oh Land, Calby and now lately 5 videos for Lukas Graham. Among these the video for 7 YEARS which passed 1 billion views on Youtube in 2020. The past 10 years have truly been hectic with tons of filming and traveling and I have no plans of slowing down. The camera has taken me everywhere from The slums of Cité Soleil in Haiti, the beach of The Gaza Strip, the Kim Il Sung square in Pyongyang, the skyscrapers of Guangzhou, the forrest in Zambia to the UN building in NYC – I’ve been around the world more than 5 times and I no longer feel like a stranger in any of these places. 20 years down the line I’m still on a constant mission to keep shaping and perfecting my visual output and passion for storytelling. “The Only Constant in Life is Change” and I welcome that to always keep things fresh and interesting.

We work as a team where I focus on the content, interview and contact to the publisher, and my partner is in charge of all the visual effects as well as technical issues. Previously we have made several short documentaries from Lagos, Nigeria about the Nigerian Film Industry. But lately we have focused on summarizing videos from conferences. Morten Vilhelm (b. 1981) is a Danish cinematographer, working in the area of fiction, documentary and commercial. Studied Film and Media at the University of Copenhagen and graduated in Czech Republic with a Master’s degree in Cinematography from the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) in 2017. Throughout his studies Morten has atteneded several master classes with notable filmmakers, such as Claire Denis, Michael Haneke, Christopher Doyle and Hou Hsiao-hsien. At FAMU his mentors were Klaus Fuxjäger who has worked as camera operator on Hollywood blockbusters such as Van Helsing, A Knight’s Tale, The League of extraordinary Gentlemen; and Vladimír Smutný, an eight-time winner of the Czech Lion Award for Best Cinematography.

He studied journalism in Stockholm after graduation and started a film collective together with some other colleagues in Malmö. The first short film was I love Johan, which won 1 km film at the Stockholm Film Festival. Then we recorded the feature film Fjorton Suger which was distributed all over Scandinavia and went to film festivals such as Berlin, Seattle, Toronto, London and Hollywood. After this he studied film at the London Film School and began work on a documentary about the industrial gas disaster in Bhopal starring Martin Sheen and Mischa Barton and worked on a feature length documentary about Nelson Mandela. He now works for Swedish and Danish TV, but also makes documentaries, television and advertising for production companies mainly in Malmö and Copenhagen.

Andreas Haubjerg (b. 1992) is a freelance documentary photographer and filmmaker based in Copenhagen, Denmark. His work mainly revolves around personal stories on social topics, issues regarding human rights and living conditions with a focus on youth and identity. Turning stories into an audiovisual form is my greatest dream and I am living it. I am a video journalist who has worked for 8 years for several Lithuanian TV stations. I started out regionally, transitioned into national and doing everything to be international. I got used filming and editing by myself, digging up stories and delivering it by a deadline. I have made hundreds of various reportages from various countries: politics, social matters, entertainment, science, technology, travel and leisure are all on the list, but my favorite is science. I graduated from The Danish School of Media and Journalism in 2009 and was in my early twenties when I became interested in photography. My first attempt with documentary photography took place in a dim hotel room inside the red light district of Mexico City. Since these early photographs of a Mexican transvestite I have attempted to expose human rights and climate change related issues through photography. In recent years I have devoted most of my time photographing in Greenland and plan to return shortly to continue my work about the people living in the Arctic.
