Hi, I'm Jorge Avellaneda, a cinematographic director of photography, editor, producer, and filmmaker. I have worked on different audiovisual projects since 2002 in Latin America and Europe. Currently based in Barcelona, I have focused on merging audiovisual, musical, and stage arts to create, produce, and develop various projects that transmit concepts, sensations, and ideas for all types of audiences, from the governmental and social sector to corporate entertainment. Ciril Barba was born in Barcelona in 1991. He entered the French Lyceum where he attended high school, then graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and later completed a master's degree in Cinematography at ESCAC. He began his career in audiovisual in the production department. This is how he will enter the documentary world with Jordi Évole in projects such as "Disculpe las molestias Mr. Trump," an Emmy Award-nominated documentary produced by American television Telemundo that portrays the Hispanic population in the United States; "Match Day", documentary series "inside" by F.C Barcelona; or the programs "Salvados" and "Lo de Évole". His first contact with the camera was in Guatemala during the filming of the Documentary short film "Petrona" for Intermón Oxfam, directed by Hammudi Al-Rahmoun Font with the Apaches production company. He currently works as a freelance cinematographer and camera operator on projects ranging from fiction to documentary and advertising. As a visual chronicler, I work with the utmost respect for people, being aware that each situation implies the process of finding the balance between being an observer and a participant. My purpose is to document from a close angle by seeking the trust of people around me, so that they can continue to be themselves. I am interested in feminism and care, so I work hard to make sure there is empathy, respect and dedication in my listening. Which may then be turned into intimate and natural images so that I can also show the enjoyment and passion for what I do. I am an independent professional in photography and video making, specializing in visual chronicles of events. I studied photography in London before settling in Madrid in early 2010. Since I started my freelance activity in 2009, I have been the photographer of the ZEMOS98 International Festival (Seville) for seven editions (2009-2015), as well as for the European Cultural Foundation’s Idea Camp 2015 (Botkyrka, Sweden), with whom I coordinated the audiovisual production of Idea Camp 2017 (Madrid). From 2015 to 2017, I was part of the mediation-research team at Medialab Prado (Madrid), focused on an audiovisual project based on the premise of listening to the communities of the centre. More recently, I have made visual chronicles for events such as Transeuropa Festival (2017), URBACT (2017, 2018, 2019, the Art and School Meeting of the Carasso Foundation (2018) or the shooting of the Municipal Recipes 2 documentary (2019).

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, and raised in Mexico for 12 years, Andrea Carolina Lopez is a graduate from the Film mention of the Escuela de Artes de la Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV) and the Curso General de Guión at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica ( CCC) in Mexico. She has written and directed around a dozen TV documentary reports for public television of her country, and has also produced and directed two short films and two documentaries medium-length films made independently, in which she has participated in photography and editing. She has also making corporate videos and write TV series chapters for TV. Winner of several national and international awards for her medium lenght documentary films: “Los Olvidados de Clemente” (2004) and “La Cuarta Gracia” (2011), Andrea has worked as an assistant and writer for soap operas on national and international channels in Mexico. She has taught screenwriting and documentary at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at UNAM and Cinefilias. She currently serves as Academic Coordinator of the Post Graduate Course in Documentary Film from producer and distributor company Artegios. In addition to her audiovisual activity, Andrea has taken several courses of English at Hamilton School of Indiana, at The New School University, Columbia University, and the Park Slope Armory YMCA, among others. I am a journalist, documentary filmmaker and TV producer, mainly covering Europe and the Middle East. Currently based in Barcelona, I specialized on international politics and social issues, with a focus on human rights, migrations, social movements and peace and conflict resolution. I was based in Beirut from 2013 until 2021. I was the DP, editor and co-producer for TV3, the Catalan leading TV channel, covering breaking news in Lebanon, Syria and across the Middle East, and producing long form documentaries for its various programs. That gave me the opportunity to cover some of the main recent events in the region such as the war against ISIS in northern Iraq and Syria, the conflict in Gaza, Erdogan’s grip on power in Turkey, elections in Israel and the wave of social movements against corruption and failing governments in Lebanon and Iraq. My works has been also published and broadcasted in Al Jazeera, Deutsche Welle TV, Middle East Eye, Ruptly TV, Inter Press Service News, Afkar/Ideas magazine and Eldiario.es, among others. I’ve also produced narrative content as a video journalist and photographer for NGOs such as Oxfam, International Rescue Committee and Terre des Hommes Italy. I’m the co-founder of Contrast Journalist Group, a journalistic organisation that advocates that journalism has a social role and is a tool for societal transformation. At Contrast we have produced several documentaries on the post-war social, economical and political effects in Colombia, Africa or the Balkans. Antonio Rodrigo 1983 Spanish Film Director (Andalusia), specialist in Documentary Films, trained in Documentary Film and Reportage at the Andalusian Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (Meridiana Academy), and Master in Audiovisual Communication through the Andalusian Public Audiovisual Foundation, he completed his studies in Barcelona, specializing in Ethnographic Documentary Film (La Casa del Cine de Barcelona, 2009). During his more than 15 years of experience in Social Documentary Films, his work has been recognized in numerous national and international festivals (see annex) and he has produced and directed projects for entities such as National Geographic, IFC, World Bank, GlobalCad, collaborating with numerous organizations in Europe, Asia and Africa, specializing in social communication projects as well as in communication in international cooperation. Recently, in the last edition of the Andalusian Film Writers Association Awards, ASECAN (2023), he has been nominated for "Re-Generation, Another world is possible" (2022), his latest environmental awareness short film. His feature film "The hidden messages of Ganga" (2020) has been awarded as best cinematography at the Orion International Film Festival, and has been selected for participation in numerous international festivals (see attached), highlighting the special section of the Barcelona Asian Film Festival, where Antonio was also part of the jury of the NETPAC section (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema). He premiered in 2022, "LIMBO, the forgotten promise" (2021), at the Seville European Film Festival. This feature film has also been present in the official section of the Sahara International Film Festival and in the official selection 5th Refugees Film Festival, Berlin (2022). In 2021 he produced and co-directed "Teselas, el poder transformador del viaje" which received the first prize at the Magellan-Elcano Social Innovation Congress, an international event commemorating the V Centenary of the first round the world voyage, becoming a permanent part of the official archive for the documentation of this historical milestone. Since his first short film, "Felling from the outside" (2007), he was selected to represent Spain at the Biennial of Young Artists of the Mediterranean (Skopje, Macedonia 2009), receiving the award for best short film, and in 2008 he collaborated with filmmaker Fernando Franco in the feature film for children, "La isla de la magia", produced by Canal Sur and Teyso Media Ficción, which received 18 nominations for the 2010 Goya Awards. As a photographer and videographer, he founded the Audiovisual Communication Agency CodolStudio (Ibiza, 2011) specializing in architecture, design and creative communication projects, developing the image of international Bollywood artists like Kareena Kapoor, and others like Carlinhos Brown or Bob Sinclar, as well as brands such as Harper's Bazaar, Pachá or Honest Music. The collaboration in the film "Pan sin Techo" (Barcelona, 2009), with the director Ricardo Íscar (one of the referents of Spanish documentary film, awarded with a Golden Bear at the Berlinale), is the definitive re-orientation of his filmography, which will be marked by his previous intense experience in audiovisual and music marketing, evident in the impeccable production of his subsequent documentary production, eminently social in nature. Since 2009, this documentary is in the audiovisual archive of the Catalan Autonomous Television, TV3. Currently, through NomaDocs, an audiovisual business project in which he is producer and CEO, and which has allowed him to combine documentary filmmaking and international cooperation. Among the productions of NOMADOCS, the documentary series Across the Rivers, (ethnographic documentary series through the most emblematic rivers of the planet), presented at the headquarters of Casa Asia in Barcelona, (diplomatic organism of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain, organizer of the Asian Film Festival Barcelona, reference and meeting place in Spain regarding the culture of Asia and the Pacific), and is scheduled to be presented at the headquarters in Madrid next fall. I am a Photographer and Filmmaker from l'Hospitalet de Llobregat. I perceive photography as a platform to express my personal way of viewing the world and conveying it through an emotional language. While I comprehend the necessity for radical social transformation, I do not hold the belief that my photography alone can effect change; it's simply my means of articulating the world. My initial foray into photojournalism was in 2014, where I worked as a photojournalist and coordinator for La Burxa, a self-organized newspaper centered around an occupied social space. I was also a member of the international photojournalist collective Krasnyi, with a focus on documenting social struggles across Europe. Over the course of three years, I collaborated with indigenous organizations and communities in the Amazon Rainforest, capturing the repercussions of oil spills and the petrol industry's impact on their environment and way of life. I extensively covered the Covid-19 crisis in Peru for various international agencies, including EFE and France Presse. Additionally, I have produced videos for the NGO Action Against Hunger and contributed as a cinematographer to several documentaries. My work involves documenting diverse social realities for various media outlets, with a strong emphasis on advocating for Human Rights. My photographs have been featured in prominent publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, and El País, among others. Currently, I am engaged in a project focusing on the identity of the Mercheros. Historically conflated with the Roma due to their nomadic lifestyle, this ethnic group has faced significant persecution during the last two decades of the Franco regime. I also delve into my own roots by traversing the territories of my ancestors, creating imagery of rural and agrarian Spain. For the Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), he has been a steady resource as a director and editor, standing out on projects like "Ciudad Y Salud". With BBC Reel, he directed "The Handsome Priest" which gained widespread recognition for its notable dissemination and audience interaction. Mario is currently in post-production for "The Great Wall", a short film that tells the story of a Chinese spy in Ávila where love and artificial intelligence intertwine. It will soon begin its presentation at international festivals. His dedication was recognized with a Fulbright scholarship to study at the New York Film Academy, where he later served as a teacher. Canadian Cinematographer currently based in Barcelona, Spain. Eric started working in the film industry in Toronto, Canada in 1993. In 2001 Eric started his career as a cinematographer and steadicam operator, first in music videos, then moving on to tv commercials, and feature films. In 2008, Eric travelled to Bali, Indonesia for a five month project, shooting a feature length documentary. After the doc was wrapped, he decided to stay on in Asia and moved to Malaysia in 2009. Since being in Asia, Eric has shot commercials for top Production Companies such as Passion Pictures (Malaysia), Godmother Productions (China), Superwonderful (Malaysia), Planet Films (Malaysia), Gwantsi (China), Playhouse Pictures (Malaysia), Squarebox Films (Indonesia), Biscuit Films (Malaysia), Shoooting Gallery Films (Indonesia), May Production (Vietnam), Film base (Malaysia and Vietnam) and many more. He has shot commercials for clients such as Audi, Coca Cola, Samsung, McDonald’s, Braun, and worked with international agencies such as Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Grey, BBDO, Dentsu, Publicis, just to name a few. After a fruitful seven years in Asia, Eric decided to relocate to Barcelona, Spain. Eric has also recently shot a segment for BBC One’s Panorama, is an ongoing documentary for Hulu on tennis star Novak Djokivic. For scripted work Eric has shot 4 feature films in Toronto in the last year (2020-2021). Eric is an Full Member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC) as well as an accredited member of the Malaysian Society of Cinematographers (MySC). He is well versed in digital (Weisscam, Phantom, RED, Alexa) and film (35mm, 16mm) mediums.

I'm interested on the non stereotyped and yet extraordinary side on cultures: from Central Asian nomads, to modern architecture in Africa. From Spain, I am now based in Latin America. Filippo Menichetti was born in Florence in 1986. In 2009, after graduating in Psychology at "La Sapienza" of Rome he decided to entirely embrace photography. After a year traveling between the United States, Europe and Asia he attended a master's degree in photojournalism and reportage to the Scuola Romana di Fotografia in Rome. There he approached large format photography with a project on the urban landscape ("Ostia", 2010) directing his gaze to the interactions between man and his environment. He has collaborated with documentary photographer Giuseppe Moccia to the realisation of "A Third Landscape?" a research on the abandonment of ski’s infrastructure in northern Italy. In 2012 he founded the collective PanAut with other authors of the Danish School of Media and Journalism where he graduated with "What Remains - meditations on a landscape", produced on the West Coast of Denmark. In late 2013 he moved to Naples (IT), where he begin the collaboration with the photographer and video maker Martin Errichiello. From 2015 he start a visual research on the recent history of Calabria region, in southern Italy, that will become the project "In Fourth Person", realised together with Errichiello. From 2018 he lives and works in Paris.

I obtained a PhD in Archaeology (2008) and also a postgraduate degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the University of Seville (2011). In the development of these studies, I received a grant by the International Cooperation Office of the same university to make a photographic project about the situation of Christian minorities in the Palestinian Territories. Finally, this work was published as book by the University. I am working now on VR 360 video. Recently, my videos about Roman city of Italica (Spain) have being featured by Google Cultural Institute in the launching of "Wonders of Andalusia" page in the Google Arts & Culture Project. I am experienced in photography of performing arts, sports and documentary projects about minorities in postconflict areas. My photographs have been published in newspapers (Wall Street Journal, ABC, El Mundo, El Correo de Andalucía, La Razón), Revista Ejército, digital platforms of photojournalism and specialized media in archaeology and performing arts. From 2014, I am also director of studies and teacher of the Continuing Training Course Photography of Performing Arts, at the Faculty of Communication of the University of Seville.

Las posibilidades de expresión hace tiempo que están en nuestras manos. Considero que la memoria colectiva y el rescate de la identidad individual y grupal es algo tan valioso que el hecho de poder tener medios audiovisuales para darle salvamento a esas historias es de suma importancia y relevancia. A través de los medios fotográficos, sonoros y representaciones visuales en cualquiera de sus formas nos da la posibilidad de maximizar los recursos, la búsqueda de nuevas formas de producción y de narrar las historias. El haber podido participar de cerca en documentales, donde he podido informarme de los programas políticos que en ese momento tenía cada país, y entrevistar a la sociedad civil en la vivencia de ellos/as y su sentir del avance de sus países, ha sido una motivación más para seguir adelante ahondando en el conocimiento de la visión de América Latina y su sociedad. Finalmente, los espacios de trabajo que he tenido en América Latina, han logrado que pueda ampliar mi mirada a la diversidad política, cultural y étnica, logrando que a mis regresos a España, me interesase en seguir leyendo e investigando las circunstancias sociales.

I became a multimedia journalist because I have a zeal for telling untold stories about social, cultural, political and environmental issues that provide greater insight for viewers/readers. As an environmental justice and public health community organizer/researcher for over 10 years, I found that these sorts of stories were not being told with balanced viewpoints in the mainstream media, so I became a journalist (educated at UC Berkeley). For the last five years, I've been covering stories in video, photo, print and radio format, but video journalism has always been my passion. I direct, produce, shoot and edit short narrative videos as a one-woman band. I can also write video scripts and narrate. I like to report on stories at the intersection of culture, politics and the environment, as well as stories about sustainability, food, sustainable agriculture and technology. From specializing in these areas for most of my career, I have a network and natural curiosity that will help me uncover new stories and facilitate access. Becoming a Storyhunter will enable me to dig deeper into these issues and bring these worlds alive so viewers can have a greater perspective.

I born in Barcelona in 1980, still in my childhood I started to reveal interest in the image. From an autodidactic way I improved it through the experimentation of analog photography. Between photographic shots I lost my camera and I continued to taking photographs by my imagination. During this time I started a short career as a volcanologist which permitted me to travel through South America, Macaronésic islands and Indonesia, picking up images in her note taking. Later, I decided to initiate in the audiovisual world to enrich and record my own visual exposure of the reality, because, for me, the camera represents a transitional object between my being and my environment. For me picture remains the moment, while cinematography expands our field of perception, broadening the attention of our senses and e and enriching the reality of our sensations. So in 2010 I decided to overturn professionally and I enter to the audiovisual world. In 2012 created with musical producer Paolo Piras, the aZAs collective.Currently working with documentaries, conducting projects where social themes are developed from an experimental standpoint.

Graduated in Journalism and Photojournalism by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. I have also completed a postgraduate degree in Video-journalism (Universitat Pompeu Fabra). Moreover, I completed my training in photography at the Institute of Photographic Studies of Catalonia (speciality in conflict photography). During the last seven years, I have been working in Contrast Journalist Group (www.contrast.es) as director, producer and cameraman on several documentaries around the world. The films were focused on social issues such as refugees (Dadaab, Kenya), nonviolence (Basque Country) or conflict resolution and peace (Rwanda, Guatemala, Bosnia and Lebanon). Meanwhile, as a freelance I covered (text and picture) the independence process of Kosovo and the 2009 Iranian elections, among other events. I speak fluently Spanish, Catalan, English and Italian and I have become skillful at Photoshop and Final Cut, among other audiovisual software.
