Writer/director/cinematographer/editor. Originally from Málaga (Spain), Fran Guijarro is a multicultural creative director and filmmaker based in San Francisco, CA. He started his career as a junior copywriter at Proximity BBDO Spain, where he was promoted to Associate Creative Director at age 24, after contributing multiple DMA Echo, John Caples and El Sol awards to the most awarded direct marketing agency in the world in 2003 and 2006. In 2007, supported by laCaixa Full Scholarship Program, he arrived in San Francisco to complete an MFA in Copywriting at the Academy of Art University. Fran was nominated for Valedictorian, graduated with Cum Laude honors and was selected as “Copywriter of the Year” on two occasions, as a result of taking honors at D&AD, Clio and Addy awards. In 2009, he landed an internship at Venables Bell & Partners, and then a job as an Associate Creative Director at the A-List multicultural ad agency, Alma DDB. There, he worked for The Clorox Company and McDonald’s accounts. During his four years at Alma, Fran also taught at the Academy of Art University. After 13 years making ads, Fran felt like sprinkling his love for storytelling across films, too. So he went to study EICTV (International School of Film and TV) in Cuba. Siyan Huang is a video journalist and documentarian. She received her Masters' degree in journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. As part of the program, she worked as a journalist for Medill News Service, and have reported on health, gender, animals and social justice issues in the U.S. She also travelled to South Africa and Puerto Rico to report on local issues, such as the stories of Chinese immigrants in South Africa and lives of drug addicts in Puerto Rico. She created and produced a 16-minute documentary with her documentary partner Taylor Goebel as the final project for the documentary class. This documentary is among a few films that were pre-selected to screen at the American Documentary Film Festival in April, 2018. Nicholas Price is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago, receiving a B.A. in Audio and Acoustic Arts with a concentration in Audio for Visual Media. Philip A. Sanchez is a New York-based virtual reality filmmaker and 360° photographer with extensive experience in the entire process -- producing, shooting, stitching and editing -- of immersive storytelling. His previous experience in corporate social responsibility has made him an expert in finding the intersection of business, advocacy and doing good in the community. is a director and cinematographer who hails from Brooklyn, NY and currently splits his time between Los Angeles, New York, and Paris. He graduated from NYU’s Tisch film program and is haunted by a long overdue college library fee he continually forgets to pay. His excuse for this is his ongoing engagement making commercial, narrative, and documentary films which has brought him across the globe to far-flung places such as Iraq and the Congo. Much of his work is steeped in mood and emotional resonance but he is known in some circles to have a deft hand at writing comedy. He is also 1st generation Chinese-American and rather opinionated in matters of art and food. Outside of commercial and documentary work he is developing several narrative feature scripts. Stephen Joel Root is a writer, director, actor, producer, editor, storyteller, artist and owner of Flag Film Productions in Flagstaff, Arizona. He originally hails from the frozen tundra of Minnesota where he first picked up a video camera to tell stories as a young boy with an overactive imagination.
